Flier for the 1995 event.396 viewsYes, this is where it all began for me. Some background info: crushed by the cancellation of the Drexel 24-hour Horror Marathons, I decided to continue them on my own...on video...in my sister's basement. This is the (mostly) hand-drawn flier for my first event. As you can see from the program pages, TESTUO: IRON MAN, CARRIE, THE EVIL DEAD and DAY OF THE DEAD did not play. I can only imagine what Bruce thought when my 18-year old self started sending him the fliers, programs, etc. from these Marathons. (Neff)

Credit page for 1995 program396 viewsSuch was my advanced stage Marathon Mania, that the "prizes" from the Drexel North were mainly fliers for films that had shown there. Yep, I was hooked pretty bad.
Steve Miller, my long time partner-in-crime, also organized a Twin Peaks video Marathon from 1994-1997. That event included the series pilot, all 29 episodes, TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME, a costume contest (I was a three time winner as Bobby Briggs, Frank Booth and Killer Bob), Steve's basement decorated as The Black Lodge, copious amounts of coffee, donuts and pie and much sleep-deprived madness. Those were the days. Steve is currently in charge of the pin trading division at Disney headquarters in Florida. He is still crazy as a loon and one of my best friends. (Neff)

Flier for 1999 Marathon394 views*The rushed nature of promoting this Marathon hampered this first flier a bit. It's okay, but I consider it to be a mixed bag. Part of this reasoning is due to miscommunication with the printer on my part, resulting in too much of a white border surrounding the artwork. That problem would be corrected in subsequent years.
*BLOOD FEAST did not make it to the final lineup. Hollywood major domo Jimmy Maslin could not find one of the reels in the days before the event, so we had to sub it out. (Neff)

Polaroid vs. VHS393 viewsThen-Wright State film student Scott Cozzolino, a longtime Marathon ally and one of my cronies, set out to film a documentary about Bruce and the Marathon at this year's event. It didn't work out quite like he envisioned, but he still managed to capture a lot of prime footage of the Horrorthon experience. And to look quite dapper while doing so. This pic is Bruce gaining some much needed revenge after being followed around for 26 hours. Hmmmm.....gee, I wonder if we'll be seeing some of that footage sometime soon.... (Neff)
